Interest and study groups are popular programs among members. The small group setting promotes personal friendships and stimulates specialized discussion. They include several book groups (afternoon and evening), world affairs, film, current AAUW topics, and international dining.  Contact President Judi Peterson for more information, 255-8734 or enretrait@charter.net.

A new group for 2008-2009 is “Working Woman’s Read.”  This group is designed for members who work and/or prefer their evenings at home.  Books, times, and places will be determined by the group.  Contact Shelley Freeman, 645-9732, if interested in a monthly breakfast meeting.

Lunch Bunch events are held from 11:30-1:00 at different locations in the Asheville area and allow members to get to know each other and discuss different topics of interest to the group in an informal setting.  The Lunch Bunch is an excellent opportunity to bring a friend to meet other AAUW members and learn about our Branch.  The date, location and time for each Lunch Bunch meeting are announced in the newsletter or contact President Judi Peterson, 255-8734 or entrait@charter.net
